Herbert Eugene Scruggs

Scruggs Herbert Eugene, 87 passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Jefferson City Tennessee. He was a resident at Jefferson County Nursing Home, Dandridge, Tennessee for the past thirteen years. Gene departed his earthly body and is wrapped in the arms of his heavenly Father. Gene was loved by many and touched everyone he met. His contagious smile and encouraging words were a blessing to all. Gene was preceded in death by his father Louis Manning Scruggs I, mother Carolyn Bernice Scruggs and brother Louis Manning Scruggs II. He is survived by his two sisters, Joanne Zirkle Jefferson City TN. and Betty Chambers Winter Park FL. several nieces and nephews and his beloved caregiver Judy Roberts and a host of friends. A celebration of his life was held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home.
