Hilda “Honey” Brewer Cooper, age 84 of Knoxville passed away March 28, 2025, from Alzheimer Disease. She was born and raised on Brotherton Mountain in Putnam County. She graduated from University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in education. She enjoyed gardening, canning, bird watching, and traveling, but her favorite was cooking. Her specialties were chicken and dumplings and banana pudding.
Preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Keith Cooper; parents, James Rosco and Edith Pearl Brewer; sister, Sylvia Thomas; brother, Danny Brewer.
Survived by daughters, Teresa (Martin) Gillenwaters and Tammy Clemons; grandchildren, Ashley (Gage) Sharp, Kelsey (Bradley) Maples; great-grandchildren, Ella, and Myah Maples; sister, Martha Dowell.
