Howard Edward Bales age 91 of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord January 30, 2022. Loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by parents, Howard T and Georgie Bales; step-children, Lance Rutherford and Evelyn Atchley; step-grandson, Brandon Williams; 1 brother, Robert Bales; sister, Rosalie. Howard is survived by wife of 48 years Carrie (Bivens) Bales; step-children, Gwenia (Mike) Williams, Joel (Donna) Rutherford, Kathy Burrows, Jess Lauderdale, Mike Lauderdale and Sue Ayers; sister, Cora Franklin; 14 step-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren and 3 step great-great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Family and friends will meet at Beech Springs Cemetery Wednesday February 2, 2022 in Kodak for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. Rev. Tony Hayes officiating.
