Jack Stooksbury age 84 of Knoxville, passed away August 6, 2024. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church for over 60 years where he volunteered at Cross Ministries. Jack retired from Boeing where he served as Union President and arbitrator. Outside of work, he loved spending time with family and extended family on annual beach vacations. Additionally, he relished traveling with and enjoying close friendships. We have lost a great husband, father, grandfather, friend and a true Vol for life. Preceded in death by father, Harley Stooksbury and mother, Sara Stooksbury. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sandra Stooksbury; daughters, Jacquelyn (Ronnie) Nelson and Melissa (Greg) Hopkins; son, Spencer (Christie) Stooksbury; grandchildren, Telyse Hurt, Karah (Brent) Richey, Caleb Hopkins, Cooper, Kassi and Bennett Stooksbury; great-grandchildren, Kainen and Shylah Hurt; sister, Margaret Ann (Mickey) Tyree. The family will receive friends 12-2 pm Saturday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 2 pm. Dr. Frank Catanzaro officiating. We will break and reconvene at 3:45 pm at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a 4 pm interment. In lieu of flowers please donate to Cross Ministries PO Box 7334, Knoxville, TN 37921.
