I can recall, in the face of injury and illness, Jake leading with a smile and caring hand, in the school hallways, classroom, locker room, and field. I had the pleasure of coaching Jake at St. Benedict, along with Tildon and Siler, and couldn't have enjoyed their company more. I am saddened to hear of Jake's passing, but the hope of Christ's Resurrection gives me comfort that Jake will be with our Lord and soon we'll meet again.

May the Peace of Christ be with you all.

I was so saddened to hear that the world had lost Jacob. I had the honor of teaching him at St. Benedict, he brightened everyday with his smile and great attitude. I send my condolences to his family and all of his friends. The world is a sadder place without his presence.

Jake was such a special person. He was a true friend. I’ll always remember and cherish the time we spent together. All the football practices and games. Running with you in track trying to stay within a stride of you. You always made me laugh. Your smile was contagious. I will miss you Jake.

I moved here from PA and I met Jake's brother, Noah and he became one of my best friends. So much so that he and Jake and Adam and GG became family to me. I felt like I could always count on them and they would always have my back. Jake had a smile that would turn anyone's frown upside down. He could come into a room and completely change the mood to a happy, smiling atmosphere. He would always give me the best dating advice and he'd boost my confidence. He was so loving and caring to me and I will miss him dearly. I'll always miss our gym time, and throwing the football with him at tailgates, and that huge beautiful grin he'd get on his face when I caught the most impossible throws. Jake was so very loved and he will be missed... Dearly.

I HAD THE PLEASURE OF WATCHING THIS SWEET BOY GROW UP. GINA, WHEN YOU AND NOAH AND JAKE CAME INTO MY LIFE, WE HAD THE BEST OF TIMES. ME,JUSTIN AND HALEY SPENT MOST OF OUR WEEKENDS WITH YOU. AND THEN HERE CAME SILER AND TILDON TO FURTHER BLESS OUR GROUP. JAKE USED TO TELL ME THAT HE HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH HIS AUNT TAMMY AND HE SAID HE LOVED ME CHEERING THEM ON THE AT THE GAME. I THINK IT WAS BECAUSE I HAD A BIG MOUTH. LOL

I am so incredibly sorry to hear this devastating news. I have nothing but great memories with Jake. Jake, Ashley Toler & I were inseparable for an entire summer in middle school. I can remember spending countless hours in Jake’s room trying to learn all the words to a Jay Z song. My thoughts and prayers are with Jake’s family and friends. I think I can speak for everyone when I say I imagine he’s smiling down on us from heaven. We will never forget that smile.

I’ll never forget the weekend when the two friends I ran a yard business with in high school were out of town, and Jake came and helped me out all weekend. There’s no way I would’ve been able to cut all of the yards without his help. All of my memories of Jake exude this kindness and helpfulness! Rest In Peace buddy and hope you’re in a better place!
