James Darryl Collins

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, James "Darryl" Collins was called to be healed at the feet of Jesus. Darryl loved God. He was a lifelong train enthusiast, he loved his country and held dearly his right to keep and bear arms. Darryl was a long time employee of Northfolk Southern Railway and Alcoa. He dedicated his life to his profession and to his family.

Darryl is survived by his sister, Alvinia Proffitt; his daughters, Lindsi Whitaker and Lesli Clarkson; son-in-law, Brandon Clarkson, and his precious grandchildren: Case Whitaker, Emma Lovell, Cooper Lovell, Rylan Collins, Maeleigh Wilkerson, Westin Ferguson and Jax Clarkson. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Margueriete and James "Jimmy" Collins; his sister, Donna Fox; his wife, Vicki Collins; and his daughter, Amy Collins.

Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave. Friends and Family will be from 6-7:00 pm and service will follow at 7:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to help with funeral expenses.
