James "Jim" Covington, age 70, of Knoxville, passed away February 9, 2017. He was a deacon at New Beverly Baptist Church. Retired from Pepsi Cola.Preceded in death by parents, Clifford and Elzora Covington; brothers, Larry, Lynn and Charles Covington; sister, Kathy Covington. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Connie Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Brandi Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Azmar Blye; grandchildren, Taylor, Kolson and Kynlee Covington, Braxton and Makiyah Blye; brother, Don Covington; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, at Weaver's Chapel, with the service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, at Edgewood Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment.
