James Harrison Deane, age 64, passed away May 17, 2016. A lifelong Knoxville resident, he was born May 19, 1951. Jim was a devoted and loving son, brother and uncle. Always young at heart, he will be remembered for his deeply caring, sweet, sensitive nature and for his joy, contagious laugh. Jim was a lover of books, airplanes and animals-especially of his own cats; Kitty Deane and Sassy.
He was preceeded in death by his father, Thomas Jellis Deane II and his mother, Janie Hall Deane and his brother Thomas Jellis Deane III. He is survived by his sister, Janie Deane Welker, nieces; Laura Welker Tredway and Janie Welker.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 8 at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
