Fox, Jr. James Floyd “Steamboat”-of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2011. He was born August 21, 1939 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late James Floyd Sr. and Mary Jo Baldwin Fox. Floyd retired from the City of Knoxville’s Engineering Department. James enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, traveling and taking daily walks with his dog. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carole Jean Dager Fox and brother, Cecil Dale Fox and half brother Michael Worth Gallaher; aunt and uncle, Luther C. and Verlie Mae Fox. He is survived by sons: James Floyd Fox, III and his wife, Amy and Joseph Luther Fox and his wife, Tammy, both of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter Deborah Jean Fox King and her husband, Thomas of Walkersville, MD; brother, Mark Dwayne Fox and his wife, Cindy of Toney, AL. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 17th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with the funeral to follow at 8:00 pm.
