James was born in Lexington, KY in 1935 on Dec. 25th to parents, Ethel and Marshall Kays and had two brothers, Marshall Jr. and Robert and one sister, Elizabeth. He is survived by stepson, Richard Patton and daughter, Kandi Hall. Extended local family survivors include sister-in-law, Jean Beasley; nieces, Ginger Ray and family and Kim Smith and family; nephew, Brian Beasley and family; granddaughters, Mindy Paulsen and family, Kelley Pereira and family; grandsons, Brandon and Jake Hall; great granddaughters, Haley Pereira and Asa Hall; great Grandson, Johnathan Paulsen. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Florena, stepson Wayne Dennis Patton; grandson, Evan Hall; nephew, Mike Fisher.
He joins them now in everlasting joy in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Services will be held for James on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1pm at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home.
