He was born in Knoxville TN on May 6, 1951.
Known by everyone as “Big Cheese” he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, entrepreneur, storyteller, and man of deep faith. At 18 years old, he joined the U.S. Navy, developing a love for traveling, mechanics, and hard work.
After his time in the Navy, Jim found his passion in the big-rig industry. He was an entrepreneur at heart, always adapting his business adventures to any changes that life brought his way.
He loved driving the open road, discovering new places, and collecting a story to tell. If he wasn’t on the road, he wanted to be on the water. He enjoyed his time on his boat and any opportunity to go fishing. He also loved to share his sense of adventure when it came to food. He encouraged others to step outside their comfort zone and try something new including his homemade hot sauce.
Above all, Jim was a man of faith. His relationship with Jehovah was at the center of his life, and he lived to share the hope he had found in the Bible with everyone he met. He spoke about his faith with genuine conviction and heartfelt concern for others. He wanted people to understand Jehovah’s love and to have the same confidence and hope that gave him strength throughout his own life.
His stories will forever be told, and his sharing of faith will continue be an example to us all.
