

Jim was a member of South Knoxville Baptist Church and former Elder at Lake Forest Presbyterian Church. He was a Master Mason and lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved the outdoors and hunting and was a master woodworker. Jim retired from TVA as Lithograph Pressman with 23 years of service. He was a Golden Glove boxer. Jim loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, papa.
He is survived by wife of 68 years, Anna Ruth Smith; daughters, Janice Anne Nichols and husband Mike; Jamie Gail Kerley and husband Darryl; grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Julian, Ashley (Eric) Farmer, Hannah (Ethan) Watson; great grandchildren, Jackson and Bryce Farmer and Weston Watson.\; special nephew who was like a son, Sonny Glandon.
Family and friends will meet 11 am Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside services. Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Tennessee and Shriners Hospital.
