James "Jimmy" M. Thomson, age 53 of Knoxville, passed away on January 15, 2021 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He formerly attended Sertoma Center for over 20 years. He was also a part of Boys Scouts of America. Jimmy was very special and loved by many. He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He lived for some time in Clinton at The Waters and was blessed by their care.
Jimmy was preceded in death by stepfather, Robert G. Miller, Sr., stepbrother, Bobby Miller, Jr.; and grandparents, Edwin and Elsie Smith. He is survived by his devoted mother, Nancy Miller; brother, Larry (Lauri) Kirschner; sisters, Tammy (Mike) Roberts, Jeanna (Mike) Drummer; stepbrother, Tim (Linda) Miller; special nephew Shone Palmer; special niece Ashley Ownby; nephew Keith, nieces, Kendall, Layla, Melissa; several aunts and uncles including uncle Dale (Tracy) Smith; special friends, Dennis Hibben and Chris Dixon; and his Sertoma family especially Vito who was his best buddy.
Visitation will be held at Berry Highland South, 9010 E. Simpson Rd, on Thursday, January 21st from 12:00-1:00pm, with a Graveside Service in the Chapel to follow.
