Al was one of the finest gentlemen and most respected men that I ever knew.   He was a great family man and a terrific coach.   Al made you feel like a friend every time that you were around him.  When he spoke, everyone listened because we all knew he cared about everyone and always told the truth.   Al will be truly missed, but he lives on through his amazing family and friends.

Alvin  was a wonderful person and a cherished friend and a Brother  to me.

I have known the Wilker family for a long time. Grew up right down the street and played with there grandson and played baseball under there son Buddy Wilker Jr. Al was a great person to be around that always gave great advice. As I grew up every time I saw Al he would call me over to talk and see how things are going with life and how was school. He always told me that he was more proud of how far I took my education to become a doctor than anything else I could have done playing sports. That has always stuck with me. I am so sorry to hear of his sudden passing and my condolences go to the entire Wilker family.

In loving memory of Alvin, a true pillar of kindness and inspiration in my life. He was more than just a mentor to many; he was a motivator with the gift of making everyone feel seen and valued, including me. I’ll always remember my regular weekend visits to his home during my youth. Without fail, I would beg for a ride in the family motorhome. Despite the challenges of navigating that huge vehicle in and out of their tricky driveway, he always made it happen, his laughter and patience making every ride unforgettable. He also continually inspired me to be a better person, leaving a lasting impact on who I am today.

My sincerest condolences to Becky, Pam, Tasha, Buddy, and the extended family. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.

I've been thinking alot about Al. I'm going to miss our in person conversations and our text messages. He was not only a friend but also a brother. He was always there at the right time if you were having a bad day to make you laugh with a joke or if you were going thru something  serious  he would pray for you. Praying for peace and comfort for the family. Be blessed.

I am so heartbroken to hear the loss of Mr Al! He was most definitely one of a kind and to know him is to love him! I lived right down the street from him and his wonderful family for several years growing up. They always treated me like family, as they did everyone! He will truly be missed by so many. But I am forever grateful to have known this amazing man and his beautiful family and I will always cherish the memories together. Sending lots of prayers, love, and hugs to you all! ❤️🙏❤️

Also I remember him telling us about when he meet Becky. One of the best stories ever 😆. He loves that lady!!!

My favorite neighbor of all time. I was just a kid. Him and his sweet wife were always welcoming. He was fun, had a beautiful smile I will always remember and he cared for all. I know he will be missed dearly.

From the first day Jerry and I met this wonderful man Al and his love Becky we loved them. I could see Al standing around and watching that everything was going well in church keeping a sharp eye. Across the room I saw him stop a kid sitting with the other kids. He was wearing a baseball cap in church. Al just walks across the room and have him remove the cap. That’d the kind of man Al was making sure the house of God was getting the respect that it needed. Sadly things have changed now but I don’t think it would bother him to go do the same thing today. Becky I’m so sorry for your deep deep loss. You are in my prayers. Go rest high on the mountain Al my friend. Love Frances mcmillan
