Son of Ezra Inez Wilker (Hopson), and Eugene Garfield Wilker, Jr, was born Sept 3, 1955 in Flint, MI. After graduating high school he attended Morristown College where he met the love of his life. Rebecca (Becky) Cox and James (Big Al) Wilker were married on June 17, 1977. What followed was the creation of a most beautiful family born of love, faith, and charity. And what followed was a legacy of love.
Coach Al mentored so many of our youth through baseball, church leadership, and simple porch talks. He never hesitated to share his wisdom, his leadership skills, his unconditional acceptance, or occasional corny joke to heal those around him. So many of us are forever changed for the better because he loved us without condition.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Wilker; Children Pamela Wilker-Baidoo, Tasha Wilker-Lee, and James (Buddy) Wilker, Jr. Grandson: Dillon Wilker and wife Erin, Becca Wilker (Jaron Hull), Emilia Wilker-Zelaya, Nicholas and Keeley Wilker.
