

James Enoch Wolfe, age 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on May 16, 2026. He was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church in Karns. He was born to Ivan and Polly Wolfe, on March 21, 1936 in the small town of Harlan, Kentucky. He later served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman first class. He was stationed at Manzano Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he met his wife of 66 years, Gwendolyn Wolfe.
Preceded in death by wife, Gwendolyn Kay Wolfe; parents, Ivan and Polly Wolfe; daughter, Deborah Ester Wolfe; sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and David Wilkerson; niece, Polly Jane Moore; son-in-law, Michael Cummings; father and mother-in-law, Dow and Helen Crawford; brothers-in-law, Larry and Mike Crawford.
Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Mark Hembree; daughter and son-in-law, Sunday and Tony Cummings; son and daughter-in-law, James and Valerie Wolfe; son and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randy and Betty Crawford.
Grandchildren, Molly , Emily, Alisha (Tim), Candice (Dallas), Sarah (John) Conner; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Michael, Kynslei, Madelyn, Emmi, Caleb, Andi, Sidnie, Maggie, Tyson, and Will, many nieces and nephews. James worked as a transmission specialist at Beaty Chevrolet for many years. He was a hard worker, loved his family, and loved life. He will be greatly missed, but he is now free from all pain and with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Family and friends will meet 6:45 pm Thursday at Lynch Bethel Cemetery for a 7:00 pm graveside service. Pastor Justin Keck officiating.
