Janet C Huffaker

Huffaker, Janet Sue, 64, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord, Saturday April 30,2016. Janet was a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church for 55 plus years. Janet was a member of the hand bell choir and adult choir for many years. She graduated from Young High School and attended the University of Tennessee. She loved UT football and Lady Vols basketball. She spent many years on their house boat at Norris Lake with family and friends. Survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert (Bobby) Huffaker; parents, Charles and Blanche Clifton; brothers, David and Leonard Clifton. God and family were especially important in Janet’s life, especially her beloved brothers and sisters in law; numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr R. David Shumaker and staff, chemo staff and clinical trials staff. Special thanks to her caregivers Gale Huffaker and Susan Manis. Family will receive friends Tuesday May 3, 2016 from 4:30-6:30pm at Berry Funeral Home. Service will follow at 6:30pm with Rev Daniel Ogle officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday May 4, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1pm graveside service.
