

MYNATT, JANET SHARPIN - age 55, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, June 01, 2011 at her home in Davie, Florida. She was a member of First Baptist Church at Weston since 1984. She helped revive the Awanna program, serving as secretary for several years. She was a passionate quilter and longtime member of a nationwide internet quilters group making quilts for many charities. She was particularly proud of two of her quilts which were donated to Autism Speaks and the Crohn's Society. The group performed many acts of kindness for Janet during her illness. Janet's mission in life was to help children and their causes, she succeeded beyond limits. Preceded in death by father, George Sharpin; daughter, Micki Mynatt; mother-in-law, Virginia Jenkins, father-in-law, Bud Mynatt; and long-time companion, Miss Molly. Survived by mother, Grace Sharpin; loving husband of 36 years, Gene Mynatt; sister of brothers, Richard (Martha) Sharpin and Donald (Cynthia) Sharpin; sister, Pam Spencer (Larry); sister-in-law to Paul (Betsy) Mynatt, father-in-law, Frank (Brenda) Jenkins, mother-in-law, Bettie Mynatt, Patty (Terry) McCrary, Todd (Audrey) Jenkins, Tom (Teresa) Jenkins, Tracey (Jeff) Whitt; loving aunt to Tina Person, Lucy Sherrod, Leith Marsh, Kelly Fife, Jessica Palmer, Mandy Hagen, Erica Caldwell, Daniel (our boy) Mynatt, Stephen Reams, JT McCrary, Kyle Jenkins, Dylan Jenkins, Gracie Whitt, AJ Mynatt, Cooper Whitt and Mallory Mynatt; great aunt to Gracie Pearson, Sophia Pearson, Lawson Phillips, Isla Fife, Gabe Palmer, Adyn Reams and Addy Reams and loyal friend to many. The family will receive friends Monday, June 6, 2011 at Weaver Funeral Home, 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. graveside service at Bell's Campground to immediately follow, Presiding Pastor Rob Peters.
