

Born on July 29, 1972, Jason was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he spent most of his life. He worked as an electrician throughout his career and proudly owned and operated Whaley Electrical from 2002 to 2010. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and riding side-by-sides. Above all, he cherished time with his grandson, Kayson, who brought him immense joy.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Brannon, and his beloved grandmother, Gertrude Maples.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Nichole Whaley; his daughters, Chesney Whaley and Laken Whaley; his cherished grandson, Kayson Whaley; his father, Dwight Whaley; his grandmother, Dorris Rose; his brother, Brent Baker; as well as several aunts, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Jason will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, the work he dedicated to his trade as an electrician, and the memories he created with those closest to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service to celebrate Jason’s life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Family and friends are invited to attend as they gather to honor his memory.
