Denton, Jay Roy, age 69, of Corryton, went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 27, 2010. Jay was a born again Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford and Rosie Denton; daughter, Angela; and two brothers and one sister. Survived by wife of 18 years, Marcella (Hobby) Denton; son, Recruit Shane Denton, United States marine Corp and sister, Shaye Denton; special pet, Bridget; daughters, Rene Fernandez, Denean Kelly and Missi Honeycutt; son, Jay, Jr.; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 29, 2010, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Service will follow at 9:00 p.m., with Rev. Tim Roller and Rev. Floyd Taylor officiating.
