Jeanette was born in Knoxville, TN to Ellis & Zora Dyer. She attended Halls High School and Central High School. She graduated with degrees from UT, LMU and Carson-Newman and retired as a kindergarten teacher from Sevierville Primary. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dickie.
She is survived by son, Ed Bush & wife Angie; daughter Kelli Baker and husband Steve along with grandchildren Hayden Baker (Tara); Christian Baker (Behr); Thomas Bush (Hannah); Grant Bush and great-grandchildren Benson Bush and Logan Baker. Also survived by sisters Inez Lockhart & Louise Mikels (David) and several nieces and nephews.
Jeanette loved the Lord above anything else in life and served as a dedicated and devoted Sunday school teacher for years. Her knowledge of the Bible was vast as she had a true thirst for the Word. When she wasn’t teaching kindergarten, camping with Dickie, or at church, she was behind her favorite Bernina sewing machine creating gifts for others. She was a joyful mess, literally, but she knew what was truly important in this world and was a joy to be around.
