Jeanna Lyn Palmer passed peacefully at her parent’s home on July 23, 2022, following a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. Jeanna was born February 6, 1962 to Jim and Sandra Palmer of Knoxville Tennessee, and nineteen months later was joined by a brother, Scott.
Jeanna was passionate in every aspect of her life. She loved listening to music, dancing and spending time with friends and family. Her creative passion led to a career in floral and interior design. She loved flowers and had an uncanny ability to rescue discarded plants and nurture them to flourish and bloom.
In her later years Jeanna moved to the family farm in Jefferson County, Tennessee following a tragic accident, which changed her life forever. Her recovery was blanketed with the loving footprints of Christ’s Mercy and Grace. She would later become a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and travel to Kenya and Tanzania to share her salvation utilizing a "Story Cloth”, a visual example of God’s healing and forgiveness. Jeanna’s compassion and forgiveness for others was a true gift, which she had searched many years to find.
Along with her parents, the “Farm” has been home to her brother, Scott, his wife, Sheila and their children, Forest, Lakelin and Ridge. Although grown and young adults themselves, Jeanna adored the blessing of watching her niece and nephews grow up “next door” and recently welcomed Lakelin’s husband, Taylor Long, of Morristown, Tennessee, to the family. She was eagerly looking forward to Ridge’s wedding to Elli Rader of Sevierville Tennessee coming in the spring.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman and Dora Lee Pinkston; uncles, Jim, Jarrell and aunts, Margaret Ann, Louise and Bobby Gene; grandparents, Mary Sue and Elmer Palmer. Jeanna is survived by her parents, Sandra and Jim; brother, Scott (Shiela) Palmer and many aunts, uncles, cousins and kin she adored.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 5:30 - 7pm with a service to follow at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home.
