JoAnn Herring

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. JoAnn was retired from the Knox County Sheriff's Department Special Services Division. In her younger years she enjoyed volleyball and tennis. JoAnn enjoyed different crafts and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lida Jackson and sister Barbara Mabry of Chattanooga, TN.

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 69 years James Herring; son and daughter in law, Nick and Diane Herring; daughter and son in law Teresa and Gene Anders; son and daughter in law, Brian and Becky Herring. She also leaves two granddaughters, Abby (Tyler) Cox and Amanda Herring; two grandsons, Jackson and Alex Herring and two great granddaughters, Evie and Riley; special sister in law Betty King and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 8, 2025, between the hours of 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville with a Memorial Service to begin at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Adam Woldt.
