JoEllen "Jodie" Royer, age 69, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2024. Jodie was born on August 19, 1955, to Joseph and Jean Royer of Arlington Heights, IL. She was a graduate of Elmhurst University. Jodie retired from the State of Tennessee after many years of service as an administrative assistant.
Jodie loved her family and adored her granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jean Royer of Lakeland, FL. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Huffine Dykeman (Ryan) of Knoxville,TN and grandchildren, Savannha, Lillie and Charlotte; brother, David Royer (Wanda) of Lakeland, Fl; Nephews, Steven and Joe Royer; life long friend, Barb Saxton and numerous extended family.
A graveside service for Jodie will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Whispering Waters Pavilion inside Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919. Service officiated by Pastor Don Hanshew.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sacred Ground Hospice House or Young-Williams Animal Center.
