Opal,
So sad to hear of Johns’ passing. He was a nice person and good friend. I’ll always remember the trip Martha Sue and I took with you and John to Hilton Head, tailgating at Neyland Stadium, and your and Johns’ 60th wedding anniversary party. Such good times!
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love you,
Alyce Rogers

Opal, Jay and family,
We are so saddened by your loss. Your family has always been like our family. We have so many memories of John... or we so fondly called him John Brown! Our families have grown up together and I always said you were my second mom and dad. John will be dearly missed by everyone. Maybe he and my mom and dad can pull for the Vols together from Heaven. We love you, Lennie and Patti Robertson

Opal and Family, We send our love and sympathy to each of you. We have shared a great friendship throughout many years! I first met John when I was a student at the University of TX, attending an E&E governmental training session; then when I started teaching at U of TN we had many accounting discussions and great fun! We also enjoyed our many years together at West Hills Baptist Church. John was a wonderful CPA, a great friend with a ready smile and kind word,
quite often sprinkled with a bit of humor. He blessed our world, and he will be missed.

Aunt Opal, Jay, Caroline, and Victoria. I’m not able to make it back to say goodbye to Uncle John and I’m deeply sad to not be there. You all have a special place in my heart. I know you all will miss him so much, his unique Brown wit always keeps me smiling. I have fond memories that come back to me often but mostly when I close a bag of chips and use the end of the pants hanger to secure the bag. I love you all. Gail and Greg Williams Ian and Kaitlyn.
