John Earl CUMMINGS, age 73, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years and the mother of his children, Doris J. Cummings; parents, Herman and Pauline Cummings. John is survived by daughter, Tracy Cummings Shell; son and daughter-in-law, Michael (April) Cummings; grandchildren, Haley (Austin) Shell, Clayton and Sawyer Cummings; brother and sister-in-law, Sonny (Jeannie) Cummings; current wife, Wanda Miller Cummings, step-daughters, Robin Miller and Becky Miller as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday September 8, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home 3704 Chapman Hwy. Family and friends will meet Friday September 9, 2022 at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Travis Henderson officiating.
