It has been 3 years since you left us.  I think of you every day and wish you were here. I sit in my dining room alone at night and look at your pictures.  I miss your silly grin 😁.  I know how much everyone loved you. Izzy is getting so big now, but don't worry,  her momma is taking very good care of her.  She has your smile... I know you are watching over both of them. Me and John always played games and went on hikes and we would always play fight and we had alot in common

For the past almost three years, I was with you fulfilling your traditions and holidays with you and your family. Y’alls huge thanksgiving down at Ellen’s and my famous cherry jubilee. The double and sometimes even three way Christmas’s, I’d stare at your pile of gifts and I’d be soo happy that you had so many people that love you and buy you things because I wasn’t able to at the time.  Halloween in Cherokee hills, Your birthday at the fair,  the Earth day we spend at my house and Easter also at Ellen’s. You had a lot of things you made sure to do every year if not every week. I’m sure all of your friends, family, and loved ones are gonna keep them going for you. Hell, one day your daughter will be at the Tennessee Valley Fair on Sept 13, and I know anytime she tries a claw machine you’ll make sure she gets her prize. Everyone misses you, no one will ever forget you.

Third times a charm. I have tried a few times to share a memory of my sweet boy, but I think he must be saying mom please don’t tell everyone that! I have some many memories and stories to share. Everyone that knows John knows that he loved his car or should I say cars. He didn’t have very good luck with vehicles. He went through 4 cars in a little under 2 years. He had one that caught fire. An engine blew in the next one. He totaled the one after that. John felt free when he was driving. He said he would just drive sometimes to no where in particular, he just set back drove and listened to the music. When ever his car was broke down he would go to the driveway and listen to the radio in his car. But car number four was gonna be the one that lasted. He was so excited when he bought it. He got an incredible deal on it. The night I went by to see it, he said “Momma come look at my new car for the fourth time!” He was smiling so big. I can still see him smile.  If I close my eyes I can see him smiling, his one dimple shining. Remember the good times. I know I have so many. I love you and miss you so much my sweet boy. Until we meet again.

John, I'm so thankful to have had the privilege of watching you grow into the amazing person you had become. I'll never forget the first time we ever met, how your little 6 year old self came running up to the fence with your bouncy ball asking if you could come play with me. How we used to fight over who's turn it was on the xbox, or who's music we were going to listen to next. Sneaking out to explore the woods behind our houses so we could catch cows. How our grandma's would sit and have coffee together while we ran wild around the house screaming at the top of our lungs. And of course I'll never forget all of the hamsters you gave me, and we eventually ended up with like 15 all together lol. You're last week alive, you were over at my house every single day. I'll miss our late night waffle house runs, and sleepovers where we'd stay up to watch the sunrise. You were definitely one of my first real friends. I've always considered you as family, and would've done literally anything for you. I miss you so much. I hope you're doing okay up there.

God, John. It's a Sunday morning just like it was the day you left us. As if they weren't bad enough,  Sunday mornings are even worse now. All I can do is think of you. Think of Cody banging on my door.
And cry.
But I know you wouldn't want that. You wouldn't want me upset, ever. You were my best friend. We were hired at the same time at Ruby's. I watched you get interviewed, and on your first day I asked you if you knew what your shirt said.  You said no, and so I told you it said, "lettuce wow you" and you, without a second thought said "you tryna let me wow you? "
And you did. 
All the time.  
I only got to know you a short time,  but it felt like my whole life honestly. We hung out every day for months. You made Cody wait on me so many times after work so that I had a safe ride home. I appreciated it every day. We had so many good times together. The time we went to Ijams with Tiffany and Jacob. The time we went to Freddys for lunch. The night you told me you were sad that you didn't get a sandwich, so I made you one. Special. We ate frozen grapes in my bed that night. Your mind was blown. I'll never forget just riding around with you and Cody (being scared for my life/ feeling 17 again) or the night we stayed up all night at Jacobs. That was one week before you left us. The sky was the prettiest I've ever seen it that night. We sat on the front porch of my house that morning,  listening to the birds. We talked about so many things that night. You even kissed me on the cheek before you left for work *late* that morning. After cuddling with me for 10 extra minutes after calling work. It means so much to me now.  You always told me "you don't know me", but I'm just so glad that I got to, so glad that you let me. Im so sorry I never kissed you, John. But I know you forgive me. You kissed me in my dream.  It felt so real. I almost think it was. I'll miss you forever. I wish this wasn't real.  I'll never forget your smile. I love you man. 

It feels like just yesterday we were sitting at a bonfire talking about how we all were becoming a small family and how much we all loved each other. The last time I saw you, you were walking around Walmart with me smelling the travel sized shampoos and telling me which one to buy. Life will never be the same without you, but I promise no one will ever forget you. Thank you for letting me be apart of your life for the past 3 years and giving me some of my favorite memories. I know you’re sitting with my little sister watching over me together. I love you Johnny Boy. 

I won't forget the first words you ever said to me. I saw you putting grapes together for the garden bar. I looked at the grapes, looked at you, and looked back at the grapes before you finally said, "if you want a grape, take a grape!", just, with some more colorful words. I remember bouncing music back and forth with you and just enjoying Ski Mask the Slump God with me cause not a lot of people liked him like I did. I remember trying to teach you how to drive fast SAFELY. "Brake 'fore curve then gas through!" "Brake. Gas through" I knew I had to be annoying. I still remember working off the clock with you just so we could get you off the clock cause no one would help you out. I remember taking you to Bargain Hunters and finding those giant speakers that stood taller than both of us, riding the strange scooters we found in there, and telling you about the antique instruments around us like the piano that plays itself and the autoharp. I remember chilling in the parking lot for hours rocking out in Cody's Jeep.  I hear now that you spoke of me very much and very well. I just hope you know I told people you were family to me, despite knowing you for such a short time. I really hope you felt that, buddy. Love you dude. Im going to keep missing you.

I didn’t know john for the longest, but the past few months i got the pleasure of seeing him nearly everyday. he managed to put a smile on my face everyday. I’ll never forget going to pride fest with john and our friends this summer. i don’t think he really wanted to go, but once we left he admitted to having a blast. he made it so much more memorable. from pridefest, to him sending me pictures of Isabella when she was born, pictures of his car when he got it, he was always so happy. we will all love you forever, John.   💜

I was very lucky to call you a friend, even though I’m from the other side of knoxville you were always down to hang & always brought joy to whatever we were doing. Riding around in that civic are definitely some of my best memories ever along with  Playing minecraft all night & making treehouses. I hope the view is nice wherever you are, I appreciate you showing me all the beautiful areas of TN & letting me in the friend group even though I was a stranger.  Thank you for everything.

Everyone else knew you recently but I got the you growing up the inoccent chunky dork of yourself. I always liked you and when high school started we were insepreable to the point everyone thought we were together. I really wish we got the chance to be together. I wish I could hug you and tell you I'm sorry.... 
I wish i didnt have to wonder how you changed these past few years. I was in love with you for so much of my life. You were my best friend.... I wish we could have still been friends....

Im lucky to be one of the people with plenty of memories of you. Your crazy wild attitude and reckless behavior brought you the spontaneity that you needed. John, you taught me a lot about life and handling the curveballs as they came. You had an old soul with a smile and laugh that had the resonance of a child. I will miss all your crazy weird moments forever. Rest easy. Your story will live on. 

First of John was an amazing soul. He was a very nice kind person and could talk to anyone. He was always nice to the new kids in school and would go an sit with them. I wasn’t as close with John as we got older but these things happen we just grew apart. One memory I’ll never forget is when we used to park next to each other one year in high school and i had to give him a jump start three days in a row😂. He had a sound system which thumped every where he went . This probably took most power from his battery lol. He had a little 80s red Camry which later caught on fire. Luckily he was all good and got a better car. Anyways I’ll always remember John as this really nice cool dude that could talk to anyone and he is and always will be missed by many . Fly high John 

A few years ago around Christmas time . John was asking everyone what they were getting him for Christmas .  He asked me . I told him of he didn't stop asking he was going to get coal . Without him knowing , Mamaw found some coal out of the old coal pile and wrapped them for me .  When I got to Mamaw's Christmas morning , I put my gift tag on the box . Later when opening gifts , I hear Little John say " Miss Bobbie , that's not funny ." Oh but it was 
 His actual gift was a blanket that I had crocheted for him . We'll miss you always . ❤

I will always remember how respectful he was when I would see him out and taking him to bus stop when he was in elementary school

I went to middle school and high school with John Henry jr and he is one of my great friends. I didnt have the chance to know john henry III but I just wanted to say your family is in my thoughts and prayers brother. 

Our family is blessed to have so many fond memories of John and miss him tremendously.  Know that we are praying and will continue to pray for all his family and friends. God speed John, we love you!

I had spanish class 1st semester of this past school year with John. When he was there he was quiet, but I did talk to him sometimes. Ive known him since I was in about 7th grade and he was in 8th. He was always quiet but that's probably because we didn't talk much. He was always still very funny and I've never once not liked him. John had a great spirit and was an amazing guy. He will be missed and loved forever❤🙏

John I have known you since birth  watched u grow into such a wonderful  young man. You are between my boys ages and my heart goes out to the family. You are the world to so many including Ms. WANDA she loved u so very much. Your aunt Ellen talked about you all the time. 

i really didnt know john that well but i do know he had alot of friends and family who love him and miss him so much and i wanted to say that he was a well respected young man and still had his whole life ahead of him specially with his daughter who is cute as a button but anyways i wanted to let the family know ill be keeping them in my prayers

i have so many wonderful memories,but one that stands out is one year on my birthday you came to visit me and saw i was spending my birthday alone .i was drawing a poster and you sat down beside me and the two of us drew for about 3/4 hours straight..o how im gonna miss you i love you to moon sweet boy..

I met John in seventh grade he was the only friend i had and he was always there for me threw everything I’ll never forget how he stood by my side when everything felt like it was crashing down I’ll never forget the only jacket he wore in middle school was his black with purple strips on it he was truly the best friend a person could ask for.
