Johnny L. Hayes, age 72, of South Knoxville, passed away November 6, 2016 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. He was a member of South Knoxville Church of God and retired from Knox County School System. Johnny enjoyed golf, camping and fishing. Preceded in death by his loving daughter, Regina Hayes Taggert; parents, Ed and Pauline Hayes; brother, Alvin Hayes; sister, Edna Lethco. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Faye Hayes; sons and daughter-in-law, Allen and Stacy Hayes, Greg and Kristi Hayes; brother, Gene Hayes; sister, Shirley Scrudder and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 11:00am on Thursday, November 10, 2016 for graveside services with Rev. Robert Branch and Rev. Wayne Lay officiating.
