Johnny W. Rauhuff Sr. "CB Handle Red Man", age 70 of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, May 10, 2021. Johnny was a very passionate man having served our nations military as a Private 2nd Class with the 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles). During his time in the military he went on to marry the love the of his life, Judy (Baker) Rauhuff where they celebrated the birth of three beautiful children. After a long and successful career of over 30 years, he went on to retire from the Knoxville Utilities Board. In his free time you could always find him keeping himself busy, from driving around talking to his CB Friends, working on cars, or simply fishing along the banks of the Tennessee River with his family and friends. In his main time, however, Johnny was truly a hardworking man as well as a devoted husband, father and provider. And any chance he could, him and Judy would hop up in their truck and find themselves on a new adventure when they "went out on the highway". From a long drive through the country side and stopping at all the yard sales they could find. He now rejoins Judy once again where they can now continue their adventures for eternity..... Fly high Redman and Peppermint. You will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his children, Rebecca (Lee) Cox, Stephanie Childress, Johnny (Jennifer) Rauhuff Jr.; sister, Phyllis A. Sutton; grandchildren, Westley (Kristen) Childress, Hailey (Jorden) Crosby, Hensley Rauhuff, Tabatha Tanner, Billy Williams, Sonya Williams; great grandchildren, Blakely Childress, Alex Williams-Cloud, Mia Tanner and Jeremiah Williams.
The family will honor Johnny's wishes with a private service. Family and friends are invited to share fond memories at www.berryfuneralhome.com
