He was born in Kingsport, TN. Joe was a veteran of the US Air Force. Joe was also an avid motorcyclist. He was a former employee at Smoky Mtn. Harley Davidson in Maryville, TN. Preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Elizabeth and his best friend, George Barlow. Survived by son, Charles G. Counts; grandson, Clayton W.A. Dunham;daughter-in-law, Brandy Dunham; several nieces and nephews as well as two special "grandsons", Jayden Dunham and Jay Jay Defour; a special great-granddaughter,
"Shelby Grace Stephenson." "Pop" will be missed by everyone. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm Saturday, April 8th with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2 pm.
