We are so sorry to hear about your family’s loss. We are Dennis and Jenny Pumphrey, Tree Ridge (681) neighbors of your parents.  We got to know Joe and  Kay in the last few years, and have grown so fond of our too-quick moments with them.  We would stop every drive-by (even though Joe thought he was hiding behind that dreadful brown trash can), and every walk and catch up.  Joe would never fail to ask about our family, our new grandson, Oak, and ask all the questions.  His profound Faith in his Family helped navigate some tricky moments last year for us, and provided us with loving navigation on this journey.  It is our intention that these pictures bring you Peace and Joy, as they do us during this time.  Again, we are so sorry and send our absolute love and prayers to you, all.

Joe and Kay are long time friends from junior high school.  We are heart broken for the family  and will always count them as best friends.  Joe and Jim played golf together and Kay and I have been best friends since the 7th grade.  

Both Joe and Kay mean so very much to us and we will cherish the memory of Joe always.  We love and appreciate the friendship of  Joe and know of his devotion and love for his family always.  He was a good man, a loving father and an excellent example to all who knew him.    We are praying for his family now and will ask God to continue to give them His presence and  guidance during this sad time.

We thank God for the privilege of calling Joe Horner our friend and will continue to pray for Kay, Katrina, Wendell  and all of his family to feel God's tender presence with them now and forever more.   Carolyn and Jim Campbell

Kay and family, very sad to learn of Joe's passing.  I worked with him for several years at the News-Sentinel.  Wonderful to work with.  Always loved his family dearly.

We are so sad to hear of Joe's passing.  He and Kay are our dear friends from  Junior High School.  We will miss him and their long time love and friendship.  Joe and Jim played golf together for  many years and Kay and I were best of friends when we were very young until old age.  Joe was a great man with  many talents, a great personality, a fun friend  to Jim and and a good golfing buddy.   The four of us shared many fun times together.   We will forever miss  him.

Our children were best friends too and played sports together in school.  Joe was always there supporting and loving all of us in his own sweet way  with encouragement  friendship.

Kay, Katrina,  Wendell  and family;  I'm so sorry for your loss.  It is so very hard to lose our parents.  Continued prayers during this sad and difficult time. My sincere condolences to all of you. With love,
