Joseph Larry Humble

Joseph Larry Humble, Sr. was born on August 30, 1941 to David M. Humble, Sr. and Ruby Blackburn Humble of Tiftonia, Tennessee. He has two brothers, David Humble (Sue) and Thomas Humble (Mary), and one late sister, Ann Humble Thompson. After graduating from Chattanooga Central high School in May 1959, he married Faye Helen Blake on September 28, 1960 in Rossville, GA. They moved to Seymour, Tennessee, where he opened Humble Auto Parts, and they raised their two sons, Joey and Todd. Larry enjoyed taking his sons to car races and football games, as well as traveling and attending ballroom dances with his wife. He was 32nd Degree Mason at the Chilhowee Masonic Lodge No. 334 in Seymour, TN and attended Seymour United Methodist Church. Larry is survived by his wife, Faye Blake Humble; sons, Joey Humble and daughter, Savannah Korzybski (Drew), and Todd (Amy) Humble, daughters Hannah and Leah; close cousins, Randall Payne and Robert Humble (Ann). Larry was a lifelong Christian, lived a long and fulfilling life, had a generous heart, and loved his family very much. He was laid to rest at Berry Highland South in the company of his close family on November 20, 2021.
