

He is survived by his son, Mark and two daughters, Theresa and Gina. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jean, and brothers, Clifford and Kenneth.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 17, 1918. He graduated from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, and from Iowa University with a Ph. D. in chemistry.
He served his country in WW2 as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. In his varied career he was a professor of physical chemistry at University of Cincinnati, worked at Curtis Wright and was head of Phosphor Research for Westinghouse Corp. and ran his own small business.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 620 N. Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville, TN 37923, Fr. Michael Woods presiding.
