Mrs. Josephine Sayne

Josephine K. Sayne (Jody) Age 80 lifelong resident of South Knoxville met Jesus March 11, 2022 at her home. Jody was preceded in death by the love of her life Bobby Sayne, her parents Bert & Nancy Tyson Kidd, brothers, B. L. & Carl Kidd, sisters, Anna Grace Hawn & Bobbie Sue Rowe, brothers-in-law, Burrell Hawn, Bill Rowe, Leroy Acuff, Sam (Buster) Evans, sister-in-law Erma Kidd, George & Mary Sayne, Dave & Mary Evelyn Frei also preceded her in death.

Jody graduated from Young High School, attended New Salem United Methodist Church and was employed by Dr. Donald E Wallis for 40 years until her retirement in 1999. She took excellent care of Bobby after his MS diagnosis. Jo's gift was just being kind to everyone and wrapping packages/making gift boxes and bows for family & friends.

Jody is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Cindy & Rick Shepard, sisters Nancy Acuff & twin Jerry Evans, brother & sister-in-laws, Ben & Betty McCammon as well as many nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, & great great nieces & nephews. The family would like to thank UT Hospice & Jody's caregivers Rick Shepard, Destiny Downs, Nancy Lampe, Janet Watt & Denise Smith for the loving care they provided.

A receiving of friends will be held at Berry Highland South Funeral Home & Cemetery on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 12pm -2 pm with a celebration of Jody’s life at 2 pm with graveside service to follow at 3pm with Heather Shirey officiating.
