BYRD, JOYCE LOUISE – age 80, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was a faithful member Hillcrest United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, David Byrd; parents, Benjamin “Beezo” and Daisy Brewer; two brothers and two sisters; and daughter-in-law, Rene Burkhart. Survivors include son, David “Buckethead” Burkhart; grandson, David Dane Burkhart; sister, Jeanette Anderson; and a host of nieces and nephews Pallbearers, Andy Davenport, Larry Davenport, Bill Miles, Ed Filthaut, Kino Dalton, and Larz Ryan. Family will receive friends Friday, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with an 8:00 P.M. chapel service to follow at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
