Joyce Faye (Holt) Massie

Joyce Holt Massie, of South Knoxville, passed away, Monday, February 12, 2018 at Holston Health and Rehab. Joyce was born and raised in Knoxville and was a 1958 graduate of South High School. She retired from William S. Trimble. Joyce attended Meridian Baptist Church. She loved traveling and was an avid reader. The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Ibach and nurse assistant, Amy and the dedicated staff at Holston Health and Rehab. She was preceded in death by parents, Robert Holt and Bobbie Holt Milligan. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bill Massie; sons, Andy Massie and Tim Massie (Amy); grandchildren, Adam and Abbey Massie and Preston Massie; sister, Sue Shipley; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Peoples (Charles), Betty Massie and Lula Massie Jones; and nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 5pm - 7pm Friday, February 16, 2018 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy. Knoxville, TN 37920. Funeral Service will be 11:30am, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Gov. John Sevier Hwy. with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating.
