

Patrick, Juanita Johnson, age 97, of South Knoxville, went to rest in the arms of Jesus on Thursday, December 5, 2013. She was a life-long member of Island Home Baptist Church and retired from the Dietary Department of Baptist Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hook and Bett Johnson; husband, Herbert Patrick; sisters, Lela and husband, Floyd Keller; Isabell and husband, Hilborn Garrett; brother, Lee Johnson and wife, Kathleen and their son, L.E. Johnson; grandson, Rick Hayes; and very special niece, Ruby Leatherwood. Juanita is survived by her sons, Jimmy and wife Mary; and Wayne and wife, Lynne; grandchildren: Michelle Green, Renee Shipwash, Vickie Miller, Mike and wife Sherry Hayes; nieces: Carolyn Nelson, Sandra Painter, and Janice Garrett; a host of great-grandchildren and the newest great-great-granddaughter born December 4, 2013, Reece McKenna Kittrell. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Island Home Park Health and Rehab for their love and kindness to Juanita. Also, a very special thanks to Thresa Olmsted, her caregiver for several years for her love and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Island Home Baptist Church General Fund, 2323 Island Home Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM, Rev. Tim Fleeger officiating.
