Judd Ron (Ron) Marine

Marine, Judd (Ron)-age 77, of Seymour, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015. Ron graduated from TSD in 1958 and married the love of his life “Jean” in 1959. He worked as a youth service worker at TSD for 22 years and was president of the Alumni Association for many years. He also taught ASL at the University of Tennessee and Maryville College and worked closely with Knoxville Center of the Deaf in various aspects to promote deaf awareness. Ron is preceded in death by parents, Jud and Gladys Marine; foster brother, James May. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 57 years, Jean Marine; sons, Marty (Sharon) Marine, Marvin (Donna) Marine; four grandsons, Brandon (Shannon), Christopher (Presley), Jerich and Corbin Marine, all of Seymour; great-grandchildren, Lily, Tyler, Brooklyn and Angelo. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Berry Funeral Home on Chapman Highway, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Dave Thomas officiating. The family will be meeting for a graveside service Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Berry Highland South Cemetery on E. Simpson Road. Pallbearers will be; Brandon, Chris and Tyler Marine, Mark Oppie, Jason Matthews and Billy Rowe. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to U.T.
