Judith Ann Sexton Biddle "Judy", age 82, of Strawberry Plains, passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2022. She was the beloved bride of Bill Biddle of 55 years until his passing in 2012. She was an accomplished author and published Tennessee Valley Echos and They Walk in and Out of Our Lives.Also a columnist with the Tri-County News titled Down Memory Lane. She was passionate about family genealogy and wrote about her great-grandfather, Tom Sexton (The Blacksmith Preacher) who led several great revivals in Cades Cove and was known as the Billy Graham of the horse and buggy days. Judy was among the Who's Who of american writers association. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Seymour, Tennessee. Preceded in death by her brothers, Tom "Bud" and Larry Sexton; parents, Charles Eugene Sexton, Sr. and Molly K. (Sise) Sexton.
Judy is survived by her children, Clarence Edward "Eddie" Biddle, Jr and wife Dolly, Robert Allen "Bobby" Biddle and wife Scarlett, Mandy Biddle Pierce and husband Tom, David Biddle and wife Aimee; grandchildren, Desiree Biddle, James and Josh Biddle, TJ and Caleb Pierce, and Dawson and Abbie Biddle; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Evelyn Johnson, Mary Sparks, Charles "Chuck" Sexton and Gary Sexton.
The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Monday, May 9, 2022 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7 pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy. Pastor David Jeffers officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11 am for graveside services where she will be buried beside Bill.
