Judith Ann Quaschnick Stelly passed away Friday, September 13, 2019, at the age of 60. She was comforted by her husband at her home in Walland, TN. She was born in Minneapolis, MN on February 18, 1959.

Judy grew up with her parents and four sisters in New Orleans, LA. She met her husband while they were both attending the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1978. They were married in 1979. In 1994, she graduated from USL with a degree in Accounting and Cum Laude honors. She spent over 25 years working in various accounting firms in Louisiana and Tennessee.

In 2010, Judy and her husband moved to TN to be closer to their grandchildren. Judy and Greg enjoyed improving their property by tending gardens, splitting wood, and moving rocks. They enjoyed taking day trips either on the motorcycle or in the Jeep. Judy also loved reading books and spending time with family.

Judy is survived by her husband, Gregory Stelly; her daughters, Bridgette Boudreaux (Philip) and Danielle Stelly (Patrick); her grandchildren, Ethan, Asher, and Evangelynn, and her sisters; Linda Paige, Janet Miller, Betty Lennon, and Georgia Bammerlin. Preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Nancy Quaschnick.

Services will be held at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701. Visitation starts at 10:00AM. The funeral services begin at 12:30PM with graveside services immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made in Judy’s honor. Due to Type 1 Diabetes affecting her son-in-law and grandson, she was passionate about supporting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The family would also suggest supporting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Stupid cancer. I didn’t know Judith but she sounds wonderful. Anyone who’d pack up and move to be closer to her grand babies is full of love and adventure. Bridgette was my funniest quirkiest friend in school. I’m sure she got some of those awesome qualities from her momma. I’m so sorry, my heart is aching for all of y’all, and we’re praying for y’all too.

Dear Stelly/Boudreaux family,
I have great memories of "family" game night at Mr. Greg & Mrs. Judy's house in LA. I'm not actually family, but I was always welcomed as such, and my heart feels so heavy right now. My prayers are with you all. I wish I could be there.

Greg, Sorry for your loss. Judy was like a big sis to me, especially at USL. She and my sister Beth roomed together their freshman year. My heart is breaking for you and your family. Sending hugs and prayers from Virginia. ❤️❤️❤️ Lynn

My thoughts and prayers are constantly with Greg, Bridgette, Danielle, Judy’s sisters, Ethan, Asher & Evangelynn. Judy was always so hospitable to us inviting us over for Christmas desserts in Louisiana and meals and visits in Tennessee. I’ll never forget her.

My heart is broken.... Judy, and I worked at New Generation together a hundred years ago. Lots of memories from those years. Judy also was my go to in the delivery room when my daughter was born ...that was in 1988!!!! Heaven is certainly going to be a brighter place with this wonderful, kind , caring lady up there. My Prayers for Comfort and Peace to Greg, the kids, family and friends.
