Judy and Herman – Together Again!

Judy Perkins Andes passed away at her home surrounded by Love on Monday, May 3, 2021. How can you put into words a woman who dedicated her whole life to others? She was loving, devoted, loyal, generous, and kind. She never met a stranger. Judy was the Best Mimi and Mom anyone could ever hope to have, as usual! We love her so much! Judy worked side by side with the love of her life, Herman, for 35 years at Andes Optical. She was the hardest worker, and she went above and beyond to help others any way she could. She was selfless and genuine and pure of heart. Judy was a member of Beulah Church in Knoxville, TN. She loved going to the food pantry and helping in every way she could. Judy is preceded in death by her dear husband, Herman; her son, Jim and her daughter, Faith. Also preceded in death by parents, Winfield and Grace Perkins, and brothers, Don Perkins, Benny Perkins, and Sherrill Perkins. Judy is survived by daughter and son in law, Hope and Chris Purgason, and grandchildren Grace, Emma, Ruby, Maggie, Joe, and David Purgason, and Jolene Andes. Also survived by sister, Charlotte Jones and sisters in law Billie Jo Carr, and Gerri Perkins. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org, which Judy faithfully supported. Graveside services will be private. A special Thank You to Amedisys Hospice. They treated Judy with great love and kindness. Judy was the embodiment of Love, and in return, she was so Loved and Adored!

Hope and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Judy was like a second Mom to me over the years. She and Herman treated me like family. I'm so glad that they are together again with no pain or sorrow. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

Just heartbroken to see this!!! My prayers to all the family during this time. Lots of memories with Herman, Judy and Faith in the optical business years ago. I know they both loved their kids. Love this pic of Judy and Herman, together again in heaven they are.
