Judy Kanipe Bowerman

She was a woman of faith who truly loved spending time with loved ones and never met a stranger.

Preceded in death by her father, Fred Kanipe, Sr.; mother, Hattie Kanipe; husband, Michael “Red” Bowerman; sister, Virginia “Ginger” Owens; and great-grandson, Derrick Bowerman.

She is survived by her sons, Jamie (Denise) Bowerman, Jason (Alisha) Bowerman; four grandchildren: Alex, Hunter, Rylee and Cody Bowerman; siblings: Charlotte (Larry) Jones, Betty Long, Fred Kanipe, Jr., Becky (Kenny) Guffey, Robin Kanipe; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Dr. Steven Jett officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM interment on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
