

Monger, June Beatrice Claxton, “Mamaw Bea” age 85, slipped away to meet her Lord and loved ones Wednesday, August 3, 2016. She was born in Claiborne County. June was a charter member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, which was founded by her and her husband, Corbin Monger. She was loved by all who knew her. June was always ready to help in church work and was a faithful Helpmate to her husband, who was a Minister of God. She was always there for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Reverend Corbin (Cobb) Monger. The last surviving child of Clyde T. and Mary C. Lynch Claxton; brothers, A.C. Evan, Gale, Swan, and Paul Claxton; grandsons, Mark A. Fersner. She is survived by daughter, Mary Ann Watson and husband Wayne; son, Allen Monger, both of Knoxville; granddaughter, Angie Fersner Stansberry and husband, Matt; grandsons, Justin Roop and wife Tiffani, of Chesterfield, Virginia, Scott Monger and wife Heather, Todd Monger, Kris Monger and wife Tiffany; great grandchildren, Chantel Flemming and husband Dakota, Dakota Monger, Bailey Fersner, Shayla Stansberry, Nathaniel, Samuel and Luke Roop, Alyssa Morrison, Corbin Monger; great-great grandchildren, Maleah and Carter Sheehan and Ruby June Flemming; a very special friend, Lee Bailey of Powell, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday, August 5th from 6-8pm at Berry Highland South on Simpson Rd with service following at 8pm with Rev. Aaron Wheeler and Wayne Watson.
