Kathryn Jean Cox

Kathryn Jean Cox, age 92, of South Knoxville, went peacefully to see Jesus Thursday morning, February 20th, at her home. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and a former member of South Knoxville Baptist Church, where she also lovingly supervised the Nursery. Kathryn dedicated her life to her family and church. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Cox and great-grandchild Gunner James Stallings. Survivors include: daughters Becky Hurst and Amy Stallings, grandchildren: Adam Stallings (wife – Melissa), Katie Stallings, Kayla Caughorn, and Michael “Andy” Hurst, and great-grandchildren: Ally Evans, Jade Stallings and Corey Caughorn. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, February 26th, at 2:00 PM at East Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery for a for a brief graveside service in the Rotunda located at 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920.
