Kenneth Robert Boyce, age 87 of Jefferson City, TN passed away March 23, 2021. Ken was an honored Veteran serving in both the Army and the Navy. He was Captain of Security at North Woods Mall (Peoria, IL) for 40 years. He lived in Illinois for most of his life and after his retirement, he moved to Tennessee where he got to experience many things he had not seen before. Ken really enjoyed the mountains, loved collecting tea-cups and listening to classical music. He never met a stranger and after only a short visit, everyone found a friend in Capt. Ken.

He was preceded in death by mother, Grace; step-father, Louis Boyce and brother, Allen.

He is survived by his children: Cynthia Stepanek, Nicole Down, Sean Boyce and Brittney Northall; grandchildren, Chase, Chandler and Riley Down, Noah and Nathen Boyce, Cheyenne and Abilene Northall and great-grandson, Emmett Down; and sisters, Cheryl and Janet.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021, 2:00pm EST at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 East Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville. The family invites friends to share online memories and sign the online guestbook at www.mccartyevergreen.com
