

Mr. Kenneth Calvin Nichols of Tullahoma was called home to heaven after a long illness where he was cared for over an extended period of time, by his loving daughter Kelly, in her home, in Nashville, TN and his son, Travis on December 10, 2016 at the age of 70.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Kelly Lynn Diaz (Paul) of Nashville and Travis Nichols (Lacie) of Tullahoma, grandchildren: Katherine, Olivia Kirby, Gracie, Reed, Josey, Emma, Elle, and Eva
and great grandchild, Crew, brother Gary Nichols, and nephew Joshua Nichols. Kenneth is proceeded in death by his parents Joe and Edith Nichols of Knoxville, TN.
Kenneth was born on April 30, 1946 in Knoxville, TN to Joe and Edith Nichols. He played football and graduated from Carter High school in 1964.
He was a dedicated member of the Tullahoma First Baptist Church and often contributed donations to The Salvation Army, St. Jude, Smile Train, The St Joseph Indian School, numerous Veterans charities, along with many other worthy charities. He was a strong supporter of the second amendment and a strong supporter of the NRA. He enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, WWII era aviation and coin collecting. His love was his children and grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-7 pm on December 16 at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home in Knoxville TN, with a funeral to follow at Saturday December 17, 2016 at 1pm. The burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dandridge TN. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kenneth's life. Condolences can be sent to McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home.
