The woman who had never met a stranger. The woman who loved
everyone regardless of station. The woman who had a thousand stories.
The woman whose laughter was contagious. The woman who will live
in our hearts forevermore. She loved being with her family and friends.
The outdoors provided a venue to explore and discover; her adventures
were full of kayaking, hiking the back hills of Tennessee and Georgia,
and splashing on the river and in the lake. She was proud of her time as a
firefighter. Born in the heart of Knoxville on July 16, 1975, Kristen’s devotion
to the Tennessee Vols was tried-and-true.
Hilarious and warm and fearless and resilient, Kristen could and would talk to anyone.
When in her company, you wanted to stay. The people she befriended
and delighted are innumerable: daughter, granddaughter, grandmother,
sister, niece, cousin, friend, and mother, Kristen loved her family and the
world, but more than anyone else, she loved her children: Alex, Caleb, and Jocelyn.
Angelia Kristen Coleman was honored to be the mother of Alex Brock of Pooler, GA,
Caleb Brock of Murfreesboro, TN, Jocelyn Custer of Hannacroix, NY;
Gigi to Ryan Phibbs and Everleigh Custer; daughter of Victor and Jeannie Hart;
granddaughter to Julia Hart; sister to Amy (Jared) Wright, Daniel Hart, Lauren Hart,
Aaron Hart, Hillary Hart, and Eli Hart; and many, many, many nieces and nephews.
We take comfort in knowing that Kristen is surrounded by light, family, and friends.
Our grief over losing her is infinite.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday, September 4, 2019
at Eastview Memorial Gardens, 1320 Andrew Johnson Hwy Strawberry Plains, TN.
