CATE, LARRY – age 60 of Powell passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his home. Larry graduated from Powell High School, he retired from D.O.E. at Y-12 after 33 years of service. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Powell, where he was active in missions. Survived by wife Janice Cate, son Adam Cate and Like-Son, Brandon Gard, parents Charles and Ruth Anna Holt Cate, siblings Terry (Dorothy) Cate, Joel (Lisa) Cate, Teresa (Sam) Brown, Brett (Janet) Cate, Regina (Bob) Key, Mara (Tony) Martin, several nieces and nephews, loving in-laws Donny, and Ronnie LeQuire, Judy (David) Bowling, and Joyce Brown. Visitation will be 6-8 Saturday at Weavers with service to follow at 8 pm. Family and friends will meet 1:15 pm Monday at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a 1:30 interment.
