Larry Glenn Caughorn passed on October 4, 2026, at the age of 75. He was born on May 25, 1951, and was a resident of Knoxville, Tennessee. Larry was a hardworking family man who was honest to a fault. He retired from Clayton Homes after 45 years of service.
Preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Vic and Vernie Caughorn; brothers: Windle John Robert Whitehead, Charles Earnest Caughorn, Claude Edward Caughorn, and Leslie Clemith Caughorn; brother-in-law, Harvey "Ray" Ayers; mother-in-law, Virginia Knight Ayers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Glenna Caughorn; sister, Pansy Caughorn Houston; sons, Ryan Caughorn (LeighAnn Theobald) and Kevin Glenn Caughorn; step-daughter, Diane Ledford; grandsons, Corey Glenn Caughorn and Brett Ledford; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends from 9:00 - 11:00 AM on Friday, October 9, 2026 at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will proceed to Greenwood Cemetery following the funeral service for interment.
