MERRIMAN, Leda Ruth, age 80 of Knoxville, passed away on October 21, 2015. She was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. She retired from IBC/Merita Bakery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Blanche Perry; brothers, Leonard and Cornick Perry; sister, Jean Elizabeth Perry; and son-in-law, Conard Ogle. She is survived by her husband, Charles “Pete” Merriman; sons, Jim (Wayne) Reed and wife Sharon and Jeff Merriman; daughters, Carol Ogle, Janet Merriman, Judy (Don) Ledford; brother, Burl (Lucy) Perry; sister-in-law, Una Perry; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home on October 23, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather October 24, 2015 at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. Interment at Eastview Memorial Gardens.
