Lee Roy Etherton

Etherton, Lee Roy 76 of Knoxville passed away October 10, 2011 at Trinity Hills of Knoxville. Roy was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church and retired from U.T Steam plant after 31 years of service. Preceded in death parents; Lee and Lillie Etherton, brothers, Jack, Buddy, Clyde, Eugene and Ray, sisters; Trula Jones, Estelle Thomas, Gladys Hodges and Pearl Jack. Roy is survived by sister; Lucille Miller, sister-in-law; Julia Etherton, Several nieces and nephews and many friends at Trinity Hills. The family will receive friends Thursday October 13, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home; service will follow at 7 o’clock with Rev. Dave Collins and Rev Mike Vincent officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday October 14, 2011 at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home at 9 o’clock and go in procession to Milligan Grove Cemetery in Sevierville for a 10:30 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be great nephews, honorary pallbearers; Jess Terry and staff and residents of Trinity Hills. A special thank you to the staff and residents of Trinity Hills Assistant Living. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Smoky Mountain Hospice 3615 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, Knoxville, Tennessee 37914 and Riverdale Baptist Church..
